Doctors of chiropractic apply a treatment called spinal adjustment or spinal manipulation to the spinal joints and extremities. This treatment causes an improvement in the function of the nervous system, the range of motion of the joints and a decrease in the muscle spasm and pain, naturally without the need to take drugs.

Many times specific muscular treatment is applied as well to reduce muscular spasm and pain. The treatment itself is painless and usually patients feel relief immediately.
